Wheels is a reference to John Lennon’s song “Watching the Wheels.” But the man in my painting has three hands and the works meaning is in no way positive or affirmative like the lyrics of the song suggest. My figure is an an outsider with too much time on all of his hands who would regard the world around him with suspicion and mistrust to say the least.
