This is a drawing I did after Raphael's "Madonna of the Meadow" while in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. I love drawing in Museums. The experience is both thrilling and terrifying. Patrons will wander about me glancing from my pad of paper to the painting on the wall. I often receive pats on the back, words of admiration or congratulations, or sometimes glances with raised eyebrows or furrowed brows. Publicly succeeding or failing is exhilarating.
